February 2016 – EAO Corporation, the expert partner for Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), announces the introduction of its Series 84 USB 3.0 adapter and optional IP65 cover, These new products help designers implement connectivity to a computer, server or a network in applications that need to be protected from elements in hazardous and aggressive environments.

 The Series 84 USB adapter provides safe connectivity to a computer or a local area network and can be used wherever ROM upgrades, simple file or data transfers are necessary all within the most up-to-date USB standard for interfacing computers and electronic devices. In specific applications where customers desire to offer USB charging functionality, these USB sockets are the perfect connection to the electrical source. Adding to its value, incorporation of USB 3.0 allows for efficient backwards support compatibility to older 2.0 applications and provides additional benefits of increased data transfer speeds, improved bandwidth, and upgraded power management capabilities.

With its robust plastic housing, the sockets are suitable for many different segments and applications. Moreover, the Series 84 USB sockets feature IP65 protection and for added flexibility are available with a choice of two different cable lengths, 60 cm or 100 cm. Integration of these sockets also provides a consistent appearance to match that of other EAO products within the globally recognized Series 04, 14, 45, and more.
