Don't push that button!
We often focus our effort and energy on our sales
pipeline and what is needed to move an opportunity forward to
close. Once an opportunity has been won...it becomes history. We
forget that we can learn from the past. Where did we find
those cool wins that helped grow our business? In this email, and
going forward, we will share about opportunities that became COOL
Wins. Maybe this will spark some ideas on where to look for more MP
opportunities.

becomes opportunity for a new configuration:
Ever wonder why
we developed the Series 17 - 176 model with the recessed button? We
received a call from a customer who was using our 175 model in a
police vehicle upfit application. The MP circuit breaker was
positioned under the vehicle seat and the customer was interested
in a means to protect the button from inadvertently being pushed.
The customer was concerned that the button would be kicked or
bumped which would open the circuit and shut down the
equipment.
In a matter of
days MP had quickly designed a shorter recessed button and provided
samples to the customer for testing. Their response to the sample
was "This is exactly what we were looking for".
Thanks to the
help from our distribution partner to ensure the samples were
delivered and that 176 inventory is available, we hope to enjoy
this business for a very long time.
Where can you
find 176 opportunities?
Look for vehicle
upfitters, fleet management, small compartment spaces, mounting
locations that are exposed to possible bumping, and where the
customer might want to restrict the disconnect to the service
personnel.
